The Sony PS3 has recently been featured in the news and on Watchdog (BBC), the reports have shown that there is potentially a design fault with the console, much the same as the xBox 360 where heat causes damage to the internal board and results in a Yellow light (YLOD as it has become known). Despite this problem the PS3 remains a market leader offreing HD gaming and much much more!

Not reading Games or DVD/Blu-ray discs

The laser unit on the PS3 is prone to failure, normally when they are a few years old they lose strength or stop working completley, this means games may freeze or not load at all. We replace the laser with a brand new one which should give you plenty more gaming time

Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Fault

Like in your home PC or Laptop the PS3 has a hard drive which can sometimes fail, we can replace it for you or even upgrade your existing one to give you more space for your movies, games, music & photos. There are a number of reasons why this fault can occur, usually a corrupt data fragment or problems downloading firmware. We cannot guarantee that all saved data will be kept when we repair this fault, although we will try and save as much data as we can.

Yellow Light of Death (YLOD)

The PS3 has suffered problems overheating due to the heat generated by its two processors. This causes the motherboard to bend slightly and one or more of the soldered connections can be damaged. We can re-flow the board and ensure that the connection is made good and your console functions again.
