Broken or Damaged Top Screen

This is another common Nintendo DS Lite repair, the broken screen may have black blobs where it has been damaged or it may have coloured lines and in some cases the screen may be faded or just white in colour. We replace the screen with a brand new high quality LCD screen.

Broken or Damaged Bottom Screen

The bottom screen is made up of two layers, the LCD screen which displays the picture and the touch screen panel that sits on top of it for playing games and interacting with your DS Lite. If the lower lcd screen is damaged then you may see black blobs or coloured lines or it may even just be a white light. This means the bottom LCD needs replacing. If you can see the picture ok but the touch screen isn't working then see the next repair on the list 'Touch Screen Problems'

Touch screen problems

The touch screen is on top of the bottom LCD screen and allows you to interact with your DS Lite. It can be damaged through use or it may have been cracked after being dropped. There may not be any obvious sign of damage but it might not be aligned correctly making game playing difficult. We can replace the touch screen in no time and have your DS Lite working correctly again

Broken Case & Faulty Top Screen

Sometimes when the case on your DS Lite is broken it can cause issues with the top screen due to damage to the delicate cable connecting it to the lower section of the console.

You have two choices for repair in this situation. 1 - We can replace the screen with a brand new one and repair the case using a refurbished section of casing that matches the original colour - Price £37.99.

Or, 2 - We can replace the screen with a brand new one and replace the case with a new one in a colour of your choice - Price £49.99.

Broken Power Switch

A common problem when replacing your own case on the DS Lite is breaking of the small power switch on the side of the console, whilst the outside switch remains visible it becomes loose and will no longer power up the DS Lite. A new swtich will be soldered on for you

Unable to play Games

Another common problem with the DS Lite is not detecting that a game has been inserted into the console, this is caused by damage to the card reader and may be a result of insertion of games in the wrong way around or liquid damage

Power failure

Most likely a problem with the DS Lite mainboard (for example: the DS Lite will flash on for a second then go off, or there is no activity at all) replacement is the only option here.

'L' & 'R' trigger buttons not responding

Often the L, R or L & R buttons will stop working. These are located on the back of the DS Lite as you hold it in the game playing position. We can replace the internal switch for you and have the DS Lite fully functional again in no time!

Fit a case supplied by customer

We are often asked to fit a new DS Lite case/shell for customers who have already purchased a new case, this not a problem... simply send us your DS Lite and the new shell and we will get it fitted and returned to you very quickly.

P6 Touch Screen connection

When the DS Lite touch screen or case is replaced the connection on the motherboard between the touch screen and the board (connected by a small ribbon cable) can become damaged, usually the small black clip breaks off rendering the touch pad useless, fitting of a new connection will resolve this problem for you.
